The 10th Annual Avoir Fiscal EU Tax Conference takes place on 26 January 2015 and features some of the UK’s top speakers on European taxation matters. This year’s line-up also includes speakers from the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Finance. As usual, the Conference is chaired by Professor Dr Gerard Meussen of Radboud University of Nijmegen.
This year’s conference is sponsored and hosted by Mazars and Key Haven Publications (publishers of EC Tax Journal). Ton Tuinier, Global Head of Tax at Mazars, will open this year’s Conference which has the theme of "The Impact of EU Law on National Tax Systems".
This year’s speaker line-up includes three silks, Dr Timothy Lyons, Conor Quigley and Professor Philip Baker; Ian Hayes, Vice President of the CFE; Peter Cussons, International Tax Partner, PWC, London; Dr Tom O’Shea, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London; and Philip Laroma Jezzi from the University of Florence.
As usual, a number of Revenue Authorities (including HMRC and HMT) will be in attendance so a lively debate is anticipated.
