Guest lecture by Peter Rees QC, Legal Director, Royal Dutch Shell plc. This event is open to Queen Mary students only.
This is the second in a series of lectures by invited, distinguished guests from the field of Energy. Although this event will focus on energy law, it will be relevant to all students studying commercial law subjects.
As Legal Director of Royal Dutch Shell plc, Peter Rees QC has ultimate responsibility for the Shell global legal function and advises the Shell group management on all legal matters of group-wide importance.
Rees started at the international law firm Norton Rose. He became a partner in 1987 and Head of Dispute Resolution and a member of the Executive Committee in 1997. In 2006 he joined Debevoise & Plimpton as a partner in its London office, and in 2009, was appointed Queen’s Counsel. Rees joined Shell in 2011.
This event is only open to Queen Mary University of London students. This event is free but prior registration is required through Eventbrite.
