Global Intellectual Property Lecture Series 2016/2017: From TRIPS to FTAs and back: The Role of Multilateral IP Framework in a TRIPS-PLUS World

16 February 2017

Time: 6:00 - 8:00pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, 67-69 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3JB

In this second lecture for our Global IP Law Lecture Series, we are pleased to have Dr Henning Grosse Ruse Khan as our distinguished speaker. He will speak about the move from TRIPS as an overarching multilateral framework to bilateral, plurilateral or regional character post-TRIPS. The speaker, an expert in international IP, WTO and investment law issues, will make a case for the continued relevance of the TRIPS Agreement as an overarching, multilateral framework for TRIPS-plus FTAs.

Dr Henning Grosse Ruse-Khan is a University Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of King’s College. In Cambridge, he is Co-Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law and a Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law.
