The New Voices in Commercial Law is a seminar series which aims to provide a forum for debate and an opportunity for attendees to hear early career academics with outstanding potential discuss their research in an intellectually stimulating environment.

Speakers

  • Dr Andrea Miglionico (Research assistant, CCLS/QMUL): 'Rethinking the governance of credit rating agencies: suggestions for reform'
    Dr Andrea Miglionico is a PhD candidate in Regulation of Financial Markets at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London.
    He obtained an LLB in Law and a Master degree in International Business Law both from University of Rome "La Sapienza". He holds a PhD in European Financial Services Law from University of Rome "Roma Tre" and an LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from London School of Economics. His main research interests focus on Banking and Finance Law.
  • Ms Anat Keller (PhD student, CCLS/QMUL): 'The depart from a dichotomous view of macroeconomic policies and other policy areas – the case of macro-prudential supervision'
    Anat Keller is a solicitor and a Teaching Fellow at University College London. She has been delivering tutorials and lectures in the banking and corporate law area and published various articles in this subject. She is the co-author of the 8th edition of the ‘Law Relating to Financial Services’ which is due to be published in 2015. She is also a Deputy Chief examiner in banking law courses at the University of London.

How to Book

Attendance is free of charge for CCLS and other students and academic staff, but prior registration is necessary via the CCLS Eventbrite page.

A fee will apply to those who wish to attend for CPD purposes. Please register and pay online via the Queen Mary e-shop
