PARIS EVENT: Copyright and the Court of Justice – the Court’s Impact in France and the UK

16 March 2017

Time: 6:00 - 8:00pm

The number of decisions of the Court of Justice on copyright issues has grown rapidly over the past few years. Its jurisprudence is binding on the courts of Member States and therefore has had a profound influence on the interpretation of copyright laws and on right owners throughout the EU. Two well-known experts on the subject will speak on the impact of the Court's decisions in France and the UK (to date and for a post-Brexit future....).

Speakers

  • Chair: Gillian Davies, Professor of International and EU Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University of London
  • Jonathan Griffiths, Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University of London
  • Daniel Segoin, Agent of the French Government at the CJEU, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
