Research Funding and Grant Writing Workshop

Writing grant proposals is part of academic life. It requires specific skills as well as a specific mind set. This interactive workshop on grant writing – open to researchers at all stages of their career – is hosted by QM Visiting Professor Wibren van der Burg and Professor Richard Ashcroft, the Department’s Director of Research. Professor Wibren van der Burg has been the holder of numerous large grants, particularly in the European context, and frequently organises workshops on writing grant proposals at Erasmus School of Law, Rotterdam. Professor Ashcroft has also been successful in obtaining research funding and has particular expertise in the UK context. Participants can expect to learn of a variety of tips and tricks that are likely to improve their chances of funding success.
