What is intellectual property law and why is it important for my business?

17 March 2016

Time: 6:00 - 7:30pm
Venue: Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, 67-69 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3JB

About the event

Did you ever use a nice picture you found online on the webpage of your start-up? Did you ever consider speaking to an investor about the great invention you just made with your dedicated team? How do consumers identify your business and go back to your products?

Join us for a free legal workshop that will demystify Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs)! This workshop aims at answering all the questions you may have about IPRs, and how to use your IPRs as an asset for your business.

We will address the following issues:

  • What is IP?
  • What are the different IP rights?
  • How do they differ and what is the purpose of each of them?
  • Examples of the different types of IP rights.
  • How can you use your IPRs to enhance your business strategy, and why it is important to think about it early on.
