African Solar Cooperative

The African Solar Cooperative is a Queen Mary student-led human rights project focussed on the promotion of environmental rights and providing an urban slum in Accra with a sustainable source of energy.

The residents of the slum live without access to running water, electricity, healthcare and other emergency services. The African Solar Cooperative project intends to equip the slum with solar panels which will power schools, community centres and residential properties.
