Dr Ann Mumford invited to be 'Chair of Gender Studies' by the British Council in Spain in December 2010

The British Council Spain has an agreement with the University Complutense and the Autonomous Government of Madrid to invite a British academic to come each year to occupy what is known as the "Chair of Gender Studies". This means that the visiting academic gives one lecture on an area related to Gender Studies to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology at the University.

Dr Ann Mumford, Senior Lecturer in Law at Queen Mary, University of London has agreed to be the "occupant" of the Chair in December 2010. She will visit Madrid on 15-16 December 2010, during which time she will deliver a paper, and speak to students during her stay.
