Margaret Cunningham will represent Queen Mary, University of London and present at the annual conference of the UK Centre for Legal Education (UKCLE) on 28-29 January 2011 at the University of Warwick.
This topic of this year’s UKCLE Conference is "Experiencing Legal Education". Margaret Cunningham’s presentation will focus on the crucial link between quality legal education, and student pastoral care. She will argue that legal education, more than ever, must take a more holistic approach to the "student", and that traditional approaches to, and models of, student learning and the student experience must become more dynamic, creative, and responsive to students' concerns. The Queen Mary experience of Graduate Student Advisers will be highlighted as an example of what can be achieved with an holistic approach to the "student".
