Over £400,000 of studentships available for postgraduate study in the School of Law at Queen Mary, University of London

The School of Law at Queen Mary, University of London has consistently been ranked in the top 10 in the UK for research and the Guardian's University 2011 Guide ranks the law school third overall in the UK and first in London for law.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Sector at Queen Mary, of which the School of Law is a key part, has just been awarded ‘Doctoral Training Centre Status’ by the Economic and Social Research Council, in recognition of the outstanding research training within the sector.

The School is able to offer financial support to outstanding applicants in specific areas who wish to pursue their PhD research at the School of Law. These awards are highly competitive and are available for applicants wishing to commence study in the academic year 2011-12. The deadline for applications is 21 February 2011.

The School of Law is offering five Studentships for the 2011-12 academic year, covering all tuition fees (home/EU or overseas level) and providing a maintenance grant at research council rates of at least £15,590 per year (reviewed annually).
