Professor Sean McConville and Dr Anna Bryson 'Leaders to lift lid on peace secrets'

Martin McGuinness and Peter Robinson are among 100 people giving confidential accounts of the Troubles in Northern Ireland for a major academic study of how peace was brought to the province. The three-year 'Peace Process' study, led by Professor McConville and Dr Bryson, in association with Trinity College Dublin and Dundalk Institute of Technology, will also see individuals in border areas trained in gathering accounts of the Troubles from those involved before they die. Dr Bryson said: “We are recording key witnesses to the most traumatic and significant events in Anglo-Irish history. It would be a major loss to our national heritage if their voices were not to be heard.” Read the full article in the Belfast Newsletter.
