Queen Mary Law PhD student: ‘Nominet faces criminal liability over websites’

A report by Queen Mary student Micheál O'Floinn shows that Nominet, the .uk domain name registry, could be criminally liable if it fails to suspend domain names which are reported to be implicated in criminal activity. He found that Nominet have need for an abuse policy, but that some offences, such as hate speech, will be more challenging for them.
