Amber Marks co-authors amicus curiae brief in the Mexican marijuana case

Published:

Amber Marks, Lecturer in Criminal Law and Evidence and Co-Director of the Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), co-authored the RELEASE amicus curiae brief in the marijuana case that was decided in the Mexican Supreme Court, 4 November 2015. The court declared that individuals should have the right to grow and distribute marijuana for personal use, a move which many see as the first step toward overturning the country's strict drug laws.
