Published:

Claire Green has been awarded a Leverhulme funded PhD in Law and History as part of an interdisciplinary project on politically motivated offenders, supervised by Professor of Law and Public Policy Seán McConville, and Senior Lecturer in Modern History Dr Martyn Frampton of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Her research will examine the relationship between music and Republican and Loyalist political prisoners in Northern Ireland, in connection with the parent Penal History Project and its current focus on the period 1960 - 2000 in Ireland. Claire obtained an MA in Spanish from the University of Glasgow, with her dissertation focusing on the use of the Catalan language under Franco's dictatorship, and has spent the last year handling a range of jurisdictions for a leading legal directory.
