Rachael Mulheron, Professor of Law at Queen Mary University of London, spoke at the ALPS meeting at Berwin Leighton Paisner’s London office on Thursday 19 November. She spoke on the recent developments in the publication of recommendations on Damaged-Based Agreements by the DBA working group in August 2015, and the new form of opt-out class action for competition law grievances, which was brought in on 1 October 2015 by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Professor Mulheron chairs the Civil Justice Council/Ministry of Justice Working Group on Damages-Based Agreements, and has previously made detailed reports on collective redress for the Civil Justice Council. She was also a member of the rules-drafting committee which drafted the necessary rules of court to underpin the new class action.
