Professor Seán McConville takes part in The Conversation's Manifesto Check series
7 April 2015
As part of The Conversation’s Manifesto Check series – in which each political party’s manifesto is scrutinised by an expert – Seán McConville, Professor of Law and Public Policy at Queen Mary University of London, starts by looking at Plaid Cymru.
“Apart from the emphasis on devolution and localisation there is nothing new on crime and justice in Plaid Cymru’s manifesto. It is feel-good thinking, rather than tough and clear policies,” he writes.
The aim of the series is to give a complete guide to the factual accuracy and plausibility of policies relating to health, crime, immigration, and more, right across the political spectrum.
