Published:

Dan Davison-Vecchione, a first year PhD Student at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), has been accepted on a summer program run by the School of Criticism and Theory at Cornell University. It's a highly prestigious course that will run this year between 19 June and 29 July. Classes include a six week seminar on 'The Machiavellian Moment of Radical Democracy' run by Warren Breckman from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as mini-seminars on more overtly literary subjects which will help Daniel develop his thesis.

  • Dan Davison-Vecchione is supervised by Dr Maksymilian Del Mar and Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott. His thesis considers whether the concept of a legal system is essential to a general theory of law and whether an alternative model inspired by literary theory could replace it.
