Professor Robin Callender Smith, Visiting Professor of Media Law at Queen Mary's Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS), will present the Council of Europe expert report on Accessibility to Judicial Decisions and Open Justice through Publication Standards to the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan in Astana on 18 January 2016. The report, which was lead by Professor Callender Smith, deals with measures to improve access, protection of personal data and general transparency issues relating to criminal judicial decision-making in Kazakhstan.
Two CCLS LLM alumnae - Olga Demian from Moldova and Eva Ondřejová from the Czech Republic - also acted as experts on this report along with colleagues from Estonia and Italy.
