QMUL co-organises 10th Anniversary ECLAN Conference

The Criminal Justice Centre (CJC), based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), co-organised the 10th Annual European Criminal Law Academic Network (ECLAN) Conference in Brussels, 25-26 April 2016. The conference theme was centred around 'The Needed Balances of EU Criminal Law: Past, Present and Future', and featured Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Head of the Department of Law and one of the Directors of QMUL's CJC, speaking on 'At the international level, has the EU become a real actor in the field of criminal law?'

  • Professor Mitsilegas is also a Professor of European Criminal Law at QMUL.
  • QMUL is one of the co-ordinating universities of ECLAN.
