Red Cross EU Office commisions study by Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax

A new study by Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax on 'Europe in Crisis: Facilitating Access to Protection, (Discarding) Offshore Processing and Mapping Alternatives for the Way Forward' has been commissioned by the Red Cross, EU Office. It explores the challenges and limitations of current initiatives to manage access to international protection in the EU against the background of the 'Refugee Crisis', including a analysis of the 'hotspots' scheme and the recent EU-Turkey humanitarian admission programme, among others. - Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax is Lecturer in Law and Director of the LLM in Immigration Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). She is also a Co-Director of QMUL's Centre for European and International Legal Affairs (CEILA).
