Penny Green, Professor of Law and Globalisation, and Director of the International State Crime Initiative (ISCI) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), speaks to TRT World about the ongoing Rohingya crisis: “I think it’s really important to understand that genocide is a process and it can take place over many years. What we’ve witnessed with the Burmese state in a relation to the Rohingya, is a long series of mechanisms which have been designed to dehumanise, stigmatise, harass, isolate and weaken this community.”
