Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax interviewed on BBC World Service about her work on Mediterranean crisis

Dr Violeta Moreno-Lax, Senior Lecturer in Law at Queen Mary, was interviewed on BBC World Service about her work on access to asylum and the Mediterranean crisis. When asked where are refugees from Dr Moreno-Lax said: "90 per cent of them are in developing countries and roughly only 10 per cent are in developed countries and in the European Union the estimates are between two and 2.5 per cent so actually when we speak about refugee crisis or migration crisis I think the numbers should be put into the right perspective.” Listen to the full interview.
