Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Professor of European Criminal Law, Head of the Department of Law, and Dean for Research (Humanities and Social Sciences) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), delivered the keynote speech at a conference on ‘Brexit and the Future of European Criminal Law’ organised by the Universities of Göttingen and Marburg on 17 January 2017. The conference brought together academics from EU Member States and associated countries including Norway and Switzerland to examine possible models for future EU-UK co-operation after Brexit. Professor Mitsilegas opened the conference with a talk on ‘European Criminal Law After Brexit.’
