Published:

Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott, Anniversary Chair in Law and Co-Director of the Centre for Law and Society in a Global Context (CLSGC) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), was quoted in the Financial Times in an article titled ‘Untangling Britain from Europe would cause constitutional ‘havoc’’. “EU law is part of UK law and its adoption has given UK citizens, companies and public authorities rights and duties,” said Professor Douglas-Scott. “Repealing or amending them would be a complex and demanding process. Serious detriment and havoc will be caused to the British constitution in the process.”
