QLLM155 Principles of Regulation (Sem 1)

Module Description

This module examines central themes and debates in regulation and how these shape legal developments and policy reform in specific fields of economic activity. It will look at, among other things, the nature of regulation and its relationship with law, economics and politics, theories of regulation, the regulation of risk, standard setting and regulatory instrument choice, compliance and enforcement strategies and the issues of accountability and legitimacy.
