QLLM156 Introduction to Insurance Regulation (Sem 1)

Module Description

The module will provide an introduction to the main principles of insurance regulation. It will be concerned with the different kinds of insurance regulation, i.e. prudential and conduct of business, as well as with the supervisory structure in place in the UK, EU and internationally. It will also consider the current state of regulation of financial conglomerates, deposit insurance and of insurance-like types of financial instruments.
