QLLM330 Comparative Copyright Law (Sem 2)

Module description

The course will examine the main principles of copyright law as understood within and applied in the major common law and civil law jurisdictions and regions in the world, including UK, France, Germany, United States, China and the European Union. Comparative study of these jurisdictions will employ a cohesive basis of the following elements: subject matter and criteria of protection, ownership, rights and obligations, limitations and exceptions, and dealings.
