Module description

This course deals with intellectual property (IP) and the international film industries, including the transformative environment of digital technology and user-generated content, through key jurisdictions and global commercial markets. Topics include film theory and IP, creative business models and IP in the commercial life cycle of the film, including development, production, distribution and marketing, and considers merchandising, genre and co-branding, celebrity, endorsements and co-branding, product placement and virtual advertising.
