QLLM357 Chinese Banking and Finance Law (Sem 2) (Not running 2018-19)

Module description

The module examines the Chinese banking and finance system in depth. It looks at the structure of and regulatory regimes relating to banking, the financial markets, the insurance sector and other investment types and entities. It also considers the operation of these markets in practice, with a particular focus on the position of foreign entities and individuals.

No knowledge of banking and finance law or of economics is necessary to take the module.

No knowledge of Chinese is required to take the module, but students will be expected to become familiar with the relevant Chinese business and legal terms.
