Dabrowka Grodz's project focuses on the role of auditors in the context of corporate governance with particular emphasis on auditors' liability in different jurisdictions. It examines these issues in the light of the events and developments which led to the current crisis in corporate governance.
Her theses analyses the continuing efforts to strengthen corporate governance and the accountability of management and external auditors and questions whether the subsequently enacted laws and regulations are effective or could potentially be counter productive in enhancing corporate accountability and stakeholder security. The other subject of Debrowka's interest are the changing notions of 'professionalism' in the accounting and legal professions.
