Postgraduate Research Conference 2011
The 2011 Postgraduate Research Conference 'Pushing Legal Knowldege Boundaries' was held in July 2011. The conference sought to encourage law PhD students to appreciate the value of their research to policy makers, legislators and publishers and to inspire researchers to be innovative and original in their research and writing. It provided a valuable forum for researchers to network with colleagues from different institutions. More than 100 people attended the conference, mainly from institutions across the UK, but also from universities in the US and Asia. The event was organised by Law PhD Student Representatives Georgina Tsagas and Kadir Bas.
Postgraduate Research Conference 2010
The 2010 Postgraduate Research Conference 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants' was held in March 2010. The event highlighted the legal research excellence at Queen Mary and created a forum for members of the PhD community to meet and interact with researchers in their field of law. The event was organised by Law PhD students; Burcu Kılıç, Marc D Mimler, Martin A Kuppers and Gaetano Dimita.
An edited collection of papers presented at the conference have been published in 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants - Legal research excellence and knowledge sharing at Queen Mary, University of London',Volume I, edited by Burcu Kilic and Marc D Mimler.
