Project Manager

Margaret Andrews assists in the management and co-ordination of the Peace Process: Layers of Meaning project.

She is an Economic Development consultant with over twenty years of experience. She has worked with enterprise support agencies as well as public sector organisations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and government departments. Her previous work involved:

  • Providing business support services to small and medium sized enterprises
  • Providing enterprise development and employment generation skills geared for women, young people and the long-term unemployed
  • Developing active employment measures for local economic development and job creation programmes and the development of local partnerships for economic regeneration
  • Training in business start-up, business planning and marketing
  • Developing and managing business support centres and incubators
  • Managing SME credit schemes and cross-border economic development initiatives.

Margaret Andrews has also worked on economic and community development programmes in Armenia, Estonia, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia. She has held a number of public board appointments. She currently chairs the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority and was contracted as Network Coordinator for the Enterprising Women’s Network (Armagh & Down). She has been a member of the Business Women’s Networks Northern Ireland for the last six years.
