Andrew McKnight is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary. He is a solicitor who has practised in the City of London for over 30 years, specialising in English, cross-border and international banking and finance transactions, as well as related areas such as insolvency and banking regulation. He was previously a senior partner in the banking department of a City law firm. In addition to his academic and teaching work, he is a consultant to an international law firm.


Andrew McKnight is a General Editor of 'The Encyclopaedia of Banking Law' (LexisNexisButterworths, a looseleaf work) and a member of the editorial board of the 'Law and Financial Markets Review' (Hart, published every two months).

At Queen Mary, Andrew McKnight teaches the LLM subject "Secured Financing in Commercial Transactions".
