Student Law Society

law society 2010-11
The Queen Mary Law Society consists of a yearly elected Committee made up of current law students from all years. The main task of the Law Society is to assist students within the Department of Law with all aspects of their study, from second year and third year Committee members assisting first year students in feeling comfortable and confident in a new environment and a new course, or advising fellow students on how to find a law firm placement.
The Society organises events, both academic and social, such as a summer boat party to networking events with major law firms.
Networking with legal professional forms an important part of our work in building a presence for Queen Mary Law Graduates and our Society members within the legal profession. As a member of Queen Mary Law Society you can benefit from their contacts and well-established reputation.
Not all law students will want to be lawyers, and so the Law Society provides information and encourage discussions in all areas where legal staff are employed, such as government posts or investment banking.
