Dr Ruth Fletcher 'Contesting the cruel treatment of pregnant women'
28 August 2014
Dr Ruth Fletcher has contributed a guest post to the blog, Human Rights in Ireland. In this post, she considers the human rights implications of abortion refusals and treatment of pregnant women. She analyses a recent case of a rape victim who was denied an abortion and underwent a Caesarean Section. Dr Fletcher then considers the legal significance of the case and what the other possible outcomes might have been.
