Over 200 alumni, students, former and current staff attended a celebratory dinner in the Octagon to mark 50 years of the School of Law on 31 October. The Head of the Department of Law, Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, led a tribute to Ian Yeats, who has been a member of faculty since the School's opening. Speeches included Frances Ridout, Deputy Director of the award-winning Legal Advice Centre (LAC), who gave an overview of the work of the Centre, and final year student, James Alao, who spoke about his experience as an LAC volunteer.
