Ian Yeats was educated at the universities of Aberdeen and Oxford and was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple. He has taught at Queen Mary since 1966 and has been sub-dean and dean of the Faculty of Laws. His academic and teaching interests are in the area of tort and constitutional and administrative law. He is the current survey editor and a member of the editorial committee of the journal Public Law, and contributes to the All England Law Reports Annual Review. He also has a substantial involvement in the external laws programme of the University of London.
